Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Belotero Balance and Juvéderm Voluma XC can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which breaks down the filler within hours to days. If you are unhappy with the result, if filler has shifted from its intended location, or if a complication requires urgent correction, we can reverse the effect. RADIESSE does not dissolve in the same way, which is why product selection and precise placement matter so much.

Many patients benefit from combining fillers with BOTOX Cosmetic, Xeomin, or other treatments in a coordinated plan. Treating dynamic crow's feet with a muscle relaxer while addressing static hollows with filler often produces more complete results than either treatment alone. We also offer cosmetic blepharoplasty, which is surgical eyelid lifting, for patients whose concerns go beyond what injectables can address.

Insurance does not cover fillers used for cosmetic purposes such as smoothing under-eye hollows or softening wrinkles. In rare cases, filler may be considered for correcting deformity resulting from trauma, disease, or prior surgery, but these situations require documentation and prior authorization. We generally recommend waiting until your eye surgeon has cleared you and your recovery is complete before proceeding with any injectable treatment near the eyes. Recent surgery changes tissue structure, healing dynamics, and sometimes medication requirements, all of which affect how safely and predictably filler can be placed. During your consultation we will review your surgical history and coordinate with your care team if needed.

If you develop sudden vision changes, severe pain, pale or discolored skin, or any other symptom that concerns you after hours, do not wait until your next scheduled appointment.
